Ski NSW

New South Wales is home to the highest mountain in Australia - Mt Kosciusko and offers some of the best skiing in Australia. If you are looking to ski Australia, whether it be downhill, cross-country, snowboard or just toboggan, NSW holidays in the ski fields should be on your to-do list.

Ski holidays in Australia are popular escapes for everyone, from families to the most experienced world-class skier. The official snow season runs from mid June to early October, but Mother Nature and the mild New South Wales weather often helps out, with snow often available outside the official season.

The NSW ski fields are approximately five hours easy drive from Sydney and two hours drive from Canberra, which make them easy additions to Sydney holidays.

Once you arrive in the area, there are a number of ski fields and resorts to choose from. NSW snow ski holidays often start at Thredbo, with its Swiss Alps style village and long runs. Selwyn snowfields are known as the family snowfields - with heaps of beginners and intermediate runs and activities for children of all ages.

Charlotte Pass is the highest snow resort in Australia and can only be reached by over-snow transport, while the ski fields of Perisher Blue, Smiggin Holes, Guthega and Mount Blue Cow are easily accessible through the ski tube train.

With over 230 km of groomed trails, classes, specialist snowboarding areas, great accommodation and restaurants, as well as huge hectares of ungroomed snow to explore, why would you want to ski anywhere else?
